KUMO

Kumo is where it all began. It’s our first coffee bar that we opened in July 2016. “Kumo” means cloud in Japanese. We chose this name because initially, we wanted to produce an espresso with a smooth and flexible crema resembling a cloud.  Additionally, while researching coffee, we observed how coffee plants grow in mountainous regions very close to the clouds. Kumo is our space for experimenting with roasting as well as with equipment.

All the equipment we purchase has been tasted at Kumo, and after working with them and getting to know them thoroughly, we decide whether to pursue their distribution. Kumo is a specialty coffee shop, claiming to differentiate itself from the large coffee chains through its communication with any customer. We work every day to achieve efficient operation, to share our knowledge with our coffee and equipment customers.
